A new era is visibly beginning in Bühl, and construction work on the new signaling system has begun. The facades will be painted, the yellow LuK logos dismantled and the new illuminated letters "SCHAEFFLER" installed by mid-September. The unification of the outside image is part of the project "Global Branding", an initiative of the agenda "Agenda 4 plus One", which promotes the strategy "Mobility for tomorrow". At the same time, the site will be strengthened with a € 60 million investment. Starting in September, Schaeffler will build a modern development building and headquarters for the automotive sector in Bühl-Bußmatten on an area of around 20,000 square meters.

"We are continuing the success story of the company with the Schaeffler logo on the roofs," says Matthias Zink, Board Member Automotive OEM of Schaeffler AG. "Only a strong brand Schaeffler has a future. We give our customers orientation and position ourselves globally as a preferred technology partner, "adds Zink. LuK will remain as a product brand, but will in future be used only in conjunction with the associated product and together with the Schaeffler corporate brand.

On September 22, the official inauguration of the new logos will be celebrated in Buehl with a staff party. The fact that we are serious about the success story shows that the groundbreaking ceremony for the new development building and automotive headquarters Schaeffler is taking place on the same day. Since January 2018, Bühl has already been the new headquarters of the worldwide Schaeffler Automotive division. "Choosing Bühl is a huge vote of confidence in the virtues and strengths of this location.
